FAQ

What is a Group Break?

A group of people share a box or case of cards by dividing up the product in a pre determined method.

How do I join a break?

Visit the Store and choose the box or case break that interests you, snag a team or jump in with a spot in a random team break!

When do breaks happen?

Check the Calendar, all break times are shown there EST.  Breaks may start as early as 10:00am EST and last until 11:59pm EST.

We hope to fill a lot of breaks as we are live and we grow our inventory.  We will break in the order that they fill unless otherwise noted.  If a scheduled break fills before the date it is scheduled, it may break earlier.  See individual product descriptions for target break dates and times.

When do my cards ship?

Cards are sorted and will be sleeved, toploaded within 3-5 business days of the break. Please keep in mind that there are usually multiple cases of cards being sorted and shipped at any time!

What cards do I recieve?

All hits, jerseys, patches, autographs, rookies, inserts and serial #'d cards that come out for your team(s) will be shipped to you.  No base veteran cards will be shipped unless specifically noted.

Where can I watch the break and where do I see what teams I have?

Breaks will be done live on Breakers TV

I missed the live break, how can I watch it?

All breaks are uploaded at the end of the day and can be viewed on our YouTube Channel.

Types of breaks

These are the standard formats and rules that we use for our group breaks.

Random Team Group Break Rules

  • After all spots are full for the break, names and teams are entered into a list randomizer
  • The lists will be randomized depending on the roll of a die. Once the lists have been randomized, both lists are copied onto a spreadsheet and matched by number.
  • Your name will be on the left column and your team will be on the right column.
  • All hits, jerseys, patches, autographs, rookies, inserts and #d cards that come out for your team will be shipped to you.
  • If the break being done has teams that have been taken out before the random is done, anything that comes out for those teams will be randomized off to teams that go hitless.

Snake Draft Group Break Rules

  • After number of spots are determined and all spots are full for the break, names are entered into a list randomizer
  • The list will be randomized depending on the roll of a die. Once the lists have been randomized, the list is copied on to a spreadsheet.
  • Your name will be on the left column in the order in which you will draft your teams. The draft will be done snake draft style (Example: #1 – #15 then #15 – #1).
  • All hits, jerseys, patches, autographs, rookies, inserts and #d cards that come out for your team will be shipped to you.
  • If the break being done has teams that have been taken out before the random is done, anything that comes out for those teams will be randomized off to teams that go hitless

By The Hit Draft Group Break Rules

  • After the number of spots are determined and all spots are full for the break, names are entered into a list randomizer
  • The list will be randomized depending on the roll of a die. Once the lists have been randomized, the list is copied on to a spreadsheet.
  • Your name will be on the left column in the order in which you will draft your hits. The draft will be done snake draft style (Example: #1 – #15 then #15 – #1).
  • All the hits or cards you draft, jerseys, patches, autographs, rookies, inserts and #d cards will be shipped to you.
  • Any leftover cards that are not drafted will be randomized to everyone who participated in the break.

Other Group Break Rules

  • During the hosted breaks, there will be plenty of time to trade teams amongst each other or trade for the teams that are out of the break.
  • You can also sell your team before the break begins to another person, as long as you can come to terms with the deal.
  • Both trades and sales must be confirmed to the group break host.
  • When a card is pulled that has multiple players on it, it gets randomized at the end of the break between the teams on the card that are in the break.
  • Although highly recommended, you do not have to be present to participate in a live break. All breaks are archived on our YouTube Channel and may be viewed at a later date.
  • Many breaks are filled before the actual break date. Please sign up for our email newsletter in order to get the most recent information and schedule. You may also want to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for information and future contests/promotions.
  • Kraken Wax reserves the right to expel and if need be, ban an individual from the site. No foul language, harassment or bullying of anyone in the live chat will be allowed at any time. In order to make the breaks a great experience for all, please use good judgment and observe the rules.
  • By purchasing a slot or team in a group break, you acknowledge that there is no guarantee that you will receive a particular card or cards for your slotted team, or teams.
